$100,000 Excellence in Innovation Award Up for Grabs
Do you want to help make your college or university $100,000 richer?
Check out the 2018 Excellence in Innovation Award from the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
The Excellence in Innovation Award, according to a recent press release, recognizes one college or university for “achievement in finding powerful substantive solutions to improve the lives of others and create systematic large-scale change.” This is a chance to help get your school recognized for finding powerful answers to local, regional, national, or global challenges.
The winner of this award receives $100,000 to recognize its best practice in response to challenges facing higher education in this century. The application period for this award will remain open until December 12, 2017. The biennial award is given to an institution that has the following characteristics, per Phi Kappa Phi’s website:
“•Demonstrates best practice in implementing and assessing innovative programs or services, irrespective of resources needed;
•Uses innovative and substantive solutions to achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes to improve the lives of others and create systemic large-scale change; and
•has a sustained model program or service that both demonstrates transformative results and reflects the values of Phi Kappa Phi.”
Established in 2014, the Excellence in Innovation Award promotes excellence in higher education and is the only award Phi Kappa Phi offers for institutions. Phi Kappa Phi has awarded fellowships and grants to members and students on its chapter campuses since 1932, awarding more than $700,000 annually through programs.
All regionally accredited baccalaureate or higher degree-granting four-year U.S. colleges or universities are eligible to apply. Schools located outside the U.S. that have an active chapter of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi may also apply.
